Pete Overzet presents the Week 18 NFL DFS Picks.

Once a year I turn in my GPP bro card to become The Cash Game King.

For one beautiful week, I disavow the disgusting, vile concept of tournaments to play God's game—DFS cash games.

Forget leverage and ownership and ill-fated galaxy brain ideas. Week 18 is all about playing the best plays and jamming as much projectable volume into your lineup as possible.

And for the first time ever, I will be allowing readers to take a peek at my current shell. 

This is an unprecedented act from the Cash Game King, who typically keeps his shell close to the vest in the lead-up to lock.

But truthfully? I need new ways to challenge myself. Every year I wipe the floor with the poor souls who dare to challenge me to a H2H on DraftKings (username: revertzeetop), so this year I want to make things harder on myself.

So without further adieu, here is the first look at my Week 18 cash game shell …

🏆 A Free Square?

• QB Joshua Dobbs ($4000) 

With Brock Purdy ruled out, we are getting Dobbs at the stone-min this week vs. Arizona.

Not only is it a nice matchup for Dobbs vs. a very beatable Cardinals defense, but Dobbs gives us a nice floor thanks to his rushing ability. 

When he subbed in for the injured Purdy in Week 17, he completed 3 of 4 passes and rushed for a 7-yard TD.

Dobbs also gets the benefits of a plus-scheme and an above-average set of weaponry, which gives him access to a ceiling in addition to the floor. 

On a normal week with less chaos, Dobbs would come preloaded on cash game lineups. The only reason Dobbs is not the lock of all locks is because we might have so much value on this slate at other positions that we can afford to pay up for a better QB like Jayden Daniels or Baker Mayfield. 

But as of now, Dobbs is in the shell's inner circle.

🏆 Bijan or bust

• RB Bijan Robinson ($8500)

With so much value on this slate, we are going to need to spend up somewhere and there isn't a better player to pony up for this week than Bijan.

For starters, the Falcons have to win to make the playoffs, so there are zero concerns about his playing time this week.

Since Week 12, Bijan has the best Utilization Score among all RBs along with Chase Brown:

And now he gets a Panthers defense that gives up the single biggest fantasy boost (+8.2) to opposing RBs of any team in the league.

This Bijan play is so obvious that I made it my first ever post on Bluesky earlier this week.

If you don't show up with Bijan in cash this week, you played bad—plain and simple. 

🏆 A Cash Game Quorum

• Rams RB: Blake Corum ($5600)

Things didn't work out for best ball bros who selected Corum this year, but we're finally going to get a chance to see the elite handcuff thesis play out in Week 18.

While the Rams do have something to play for (earning the No. 3 seed and avoiding the Lions or Vikings in the Wild Card round), Sean McVay has already indicated that he'll be resting his starters, including Kyren Williams.

In addition, he's on record as saying that he's excited to see Corum with a "heavy workload."

The Seahawks have been solid against the run, but Corum's bellcow workload can't be ignored in this spot—especially when Seattle has nothing to play for.

I'm not sure if Corum will be a consensus cash lock this week based on early-week projections, but I'm going to have a difficult time avoiding this spot.

The last time a non-Kyren or non-Corum RB touched the ball for the Rams was Ronnie Rivers in Week 4. 

🏆 The BTJ Train Keeps Chuggin' Along

• Jaguars WR: BrIan Thomas Jr. ($7300)

Like Corum, I'm not sure BTJ is going to be a lock for the rest of the cash game community.

There is going to be a strong push to play Mike Evans this week as he hunts down his 1K receiving record. I'm not going to say anything bad about Big Mike, as he's a near lock to go 5-85 and hit his milestones. But at 8K, you are going to need more than that. With the way the Bucs are spreading around the ball right now (and having success on the ground), I'm worried about his ability to pay off this tag.

Instead, I'd rather save the $700 and play the red-hot BTJ, who has seen 10+ targets in every game since Week 13. Over that span, he has a 9.4 Utilization Score—fourth among all WRs.

Let's also not forget that BTJ has plenty of motivation, too. He's currently leading all rookies in receiving yards (1,179), and will look to maintain his lead over Brock Bowers and Malik Nabers.

The cherry on top? He gets the Colts defense that just got absolutely shredded by Nabers.

The math might not end up agreeing with BTJ as a lock, but sometimes cash games are more of an art than a science.

And BTJ is a piece of work.
