There’s nothing like a polarizing top-10 list when it comes to rage bait.
ESPN has been surveying league executives/coaches/scouts to rank the Top 10 players at every position, and yesterday they dropped their WR list.
And let’s just say … mission accomplished. It got the people riled up, myself included.
Sure, no complaints from me at the top with Ja’Marr Chase (1) and Justin Jefferson (2), but then things take a sharp turn.
Tyreek Hill at No. 3? Someone even put him at No. 2 in their personal ranks. Are we being serious? We are ranking the 31-year-old who didn’t eclipse 1,000 yards last year over CeeDee Lamb and A.J. Brown??!
Some other perplexing nuggets from the survey:
- Someone didn’t even rank AJB in their top 10. Is he being punished for reading a book on the sideline? The dude has been over 2.5 yards per route run every year of his career.
- Re: Garrett Wilson - “Some scouts wonder what's holding him back.” Um, how about two words … Zach Wilson? How about two more … Nathaniel Hackett? Are we done wondering?
- The biggest snub? Puka Nacua. He got an Honorable Mention, but that is disrespectful to a no-brainer top-10 WR in the league.
- And last but not least, someone gave Efton Chism a vote? WTF!? I’m kidding, just want to make sure you are paying attention.
