No player saw his fantasy value rise after the NFL Draft more than RB RJ Harvey, who was selected 60th overall by the Denver Broncos.
Thanks to that draft capital and a completely barren RB depth chart in Denver, he quickly went from a random, late-round dart throw in a sea of intriguing rookie RB options to a top-60 pick in Underdog drafts.
And rightfully so! Harvey has an exciting profile as an explosive runner who can both run to daylight and catch passes. He was well-positioned to be the Day 1 starter and feast in an ascending offense.
But ⦠thereās always a but ⦠the other shoe dropped on Tuesday when the Broncos signed J.K. Dobbins to a one-year deal worth up to $5.25 million.
Drafters have been quick to respondāpushing Harvey down into the sixth and seventh rounds of drafts, while elevating Dobbins into the 150s and 160s.
And guess what? Iām pretty excited about this development.
I was getting very little Harvey in my early drafts. The fifth-round price tag was tough to stomach, especially when backs like Joe Mixon and Chuba Hubbard were regularly going after him.
But now his price is headed to a much more palatable range and the bet hasnāt really changed! Yes, Dobbins is goodāand a worthwhile handcuff selection himself)ābut heās a depth piece who the team reportedly brought in to operate on pass downs until Harvey learns the ropes.

Weāve seen this movie a million times before, though ⦠rookies who are selected this high in the draft are going to get featured down the homestretch when it matters most for our fantasy teams.
Harveyās price needed to correct regardless, but the catalyst arrived earlier than we expected. Now itās time to lie in wait and buy the dip.

The 2024 Chicago Bears will go down as a case study, one that Chris Allen has already started to dive into.
How in the world does a team draft a āgenerational prospectā in Caleb Williams and do nothing but absolutely faceplant when confronted with every lofty preseason expectation?
In hindsight, we can see that a lot was going on behind the scenes and some questionable decision-making throughout Chicagoās offseason last summer, which ultimately led to the train wreck.
That leads us to 2025. Not about expectations for the Bears in Williamsā sophomore season, but trying to forecast what teams could see themselves faceplant in a similar way so we can avoid landmines.
Chris dubbed a total of seven teams with trainwreck potential ā¦
What would it take for these teams to truly faceplant? Letās dive in. ā¬ļø
HOW THE 49ERS COULD BUST AGAIN

Following up on a season with 1,887 scrimmage yards and 15 total TDs, Bijan Robinson is one of the players in discussion for overall RB1 going into the 2025 season. And with good reason. Though the questions of if Michael Penix is the real deal as a starting QB, and if Drake Londonās furious finish with 39 targets in the final three games is sustainable still need to be answered.
Ian Hartitz goes to Hotlanta to see if this trio of Falcons could offer plenty of goodness in fantasy land in 2025. Heāll also delve into whether Darnell Mooney has staying power, and if Kyle Pitts could FINALLY deliver on his potential. Itās all here.ā¬ļø
