We’re moving on to Week 12. Most redraft leagues are nearing their trade deadlines, but not here. Best ball land is a world where trades don’t exist, and your mistakes of the past haunt you weekly.

The punishment gods have spoken once again! Today we’ll have a full recap of:

But the rules are fairly simple: SURVIVE or face the consequences (read: the Punishment Generator).

We are Thankful

Many of us spent the end of the week sitting around tables with turkey being thankful for our families, health, and good fortune. But in fantasy football terms, we're also thankful for a few players who have been difference-makers in redraft and best ball leagues alike.

Whether they paid off their early-round draft capital or were late-round flyers who've been serviceable fantasy producers most weeks, I’d like to give a little shoutout to a few players. It’s been fun watching you, boys.

• Puka Nacua: For less than half of my FAAB in early September, you’ve blessed my WR slot more times than I can count on one hand. I am thankful.
• Christian McCaffrey: You are the trailblazer who challenges the Zero RB narrative year after year. We don’t deserve you. I am thankful.
• Sam LaPorta: You have single-handedly given me hope for late-round TEs in future years. It doesn’t have to always be “Travis Kelce or bust”. I am thankful.

But that’s enough reflection and kindness. Let’s get to the misery and dive into everything that happened in Week 11.

Week 11 Results

The results from Week 11 are in! Not only have the remaining teams been cut in half, but some of the top dogs are still alive.

Here’s how the league did this week with some added context of risers and fallers:

We started with 18 teams and are now down to just seven teams remaining!

There are only six more eliminations to go, and I feel like we should start picking favorites. Just like in the NFL, the Fantasy Life eliminator league has room for a few bandwagon fans.

So who will it be? Mr. Roto himself? Or one of the other wonderful members of our Fantasy Life team?

Regardless of who you decide to root for from here on out, the generator cannot be escaped. Well, only one of them can escape. And I have to be honest, the scores are getting tight, as all the remaining teams are starting to come together here. It’s anyone’s game at this point.

With seven moving safely into Week 12, we need to acknowledge the unlucky leaguemate who wasn’t so safe in Week 11. And it’s time for them to pay…

Proof of Punishment (PP)

It’s finally time for what you’ve all been waiting for. The big PP reveal. 

The Punishment Generator results were rolled out prior to Week 11 and revealed that the loser would have to endure their very own Aaron Rodgers-esque Darkness Retreat. 

That’s right. No cell phones, no internet, and no scrolling endlessly through pictures of everyone’s Thanksgiving dinner plates. Pure darkness. Full retreat.

So without further adieu, here’s Sam Wallace’s Week 11 punishment!

We’re sorry to see Sam, but the league marches on!

Nitty Gritty Breakdown:

With Sam's elimination, we’re on to a new beginning. And unfortunately, we're faced with another few days of sweating it out while we await the fresh agony of the upcoming Week 12 results.

On to Week 12

As for the survivors: another one down with six eliminations to go.

How punishments are decided:

• Generate a random punishment with our Punishment Generator
• Announce the punishment to the league prior to kickoff
• Boot the loser from the league once the games have concluded
• Collect Proof of Punishment (PP)
• Expose everything on FantasyLife.com

We won’t know who has to pay the price until all the Week 12 games conclude on Monday night, but we do know that someone is going to have to stretch and put on their running shoes because the Punishment Generator has spoken.

Drumroll, please…

That’s right, the team with the lowest score from Week 12 will have to call their mother-in-law (or grandmother if the loser isn't married) and really give her a breakdown of all their fantasy woes.

They must share all the deep, dark regrets from their drafts and lineup decisions. And when they’re done, we’ll get to watch how that cringy conversation unfolded and whether or not she even let the loser finish their talk.

Stay tuned for an update next week after the losing team submits their Proof of Punishment (PP), and we kick them from the league.
