Put Up Or Shut Up — It's Fantasy Football Draft Time

You've likely heard this quote (or something similar) over the last couple of weeks. It's prime draft season. There's no more time for mocks. Best ball processes need to take a back seat. We've got money and pride on the line! However, it's not to say what we've learned over the offseason isn't important.
The last six months have been our practice time. A period to turn mundane concepts into habitual actions. But you know that finding value is key to any roster. There's no question that getting the players who can outkick their ADP will help you win. Except that when you're on the clock, your habits will reflect your decision.

Remember the Vets Still Exist
Admittedly, guys like James Conner and Zay Flowers aren't as sexy as TreVeyon Henderson or Emeka Egbuka. But their contributions count just the same. Jonathan laid out a few vets to consider versus reaching in drafts for the hottest names.

Instead of paying for RJ Harvey, look for Isiah Pacheco a round later (only eight points separate them in our projections). There are more examples, but you get what I mean. Don't let the hype overwhelm you. But we still have to react to some news.
Preseason News Has Some Merit
Entering the draft lobby and looking at player names might be disorienting. Davante Adams plays for which team?!? But before going with the flow, we should understand how any news impacts our draft targets. Take Jalen Coker, for example. The Adam Thielen trade has Coker's ADP on the rise, but Pete already had the Panthers' slot man as a WR to monitor.
