Better late than never?!

Fantasy is a cruel game. 

You spend all season waiting for Justin Jefferson to produce a monster outing only to watch Jordan Addison be the Vikings WR who goes nuclear (8-162-1) in Week 12 vs. the Bears.

Or you've already been eliminated from the playoffs with a 2-9 record only to watch your Round 3 pick, Jaylen Waddle, turn in back-to-back monster games, including 8-144-1 in yesterday's game vs. the Patriots.

I recommend heading to your league message board and firing off a missive along these lines:

NEVER WRONG, JUST EARLY. SEE YOU IN '25.

Or if you don't have one of those and are still looking for catharsis, try screaming this into your pillow:

I WAS DIRECTIONALLY ACCURATE. TRUST THE PROCESS.

Don't ask how I know about these coping mechanisms. It's purely hypothetical.

Always the McBridesmaid

It's hard to be mad about Trey McBride's fantasy day vs. the Seahawks. He performed objectively well:

• 12 receptions
• 133 yards
• 25.3 fantasy points

Buuuuuut, permission to be a little greedy?

• 0 TDs

Can we please for the love of God get this guy a receiving TD? He has zero on the year.

On their final redzone possession, I watched Kyler Murray not see him wide open in the endzone on one play and then sail a ball over his head on the next play.

At this point, it feels like an inside joke that the fantasy community hasn't been let in on.

I hate to stoop to empty threats, but I've been left with no choice:

GIVE MCBRIDE A TD OR ELSE.

A late-season rookie breakout

If you've watched any Bucs football this year (or read the Utilization Report), it was obvious that Bucky Irving was a powder keg waiting to explode down the stretch.

It's been a slow burn, though, and justifiably so—Rachaad White is very good in passing situations and Sean Tucker has earned a piece of the pie. But Liam Coen and co. came out of the bye with a clear intention to feature Bucky and he did not disappoint:

• 18 touches
• 151 total yards
• Out-snapped White for the first time
• 7.2 yards per carry
• 6 missed tackles forced
• 1 TD
• 27.1 PPR points

What's really crazy is that his day could have been even bigger, although I'll let Ian save that specific tilt for the Sheesh Report.

With Mike Evans back in the fold, I'm expecting a big finish for this Bucs squad down the homestretch. Irving is going to deliver some fantasy 'ships. Enjoy the ride.

Ecstacy and agony for the Commanders

There's no team that attracts drama quite like this year's Washington Commanders.

Less than a month after Jayden Daniels' miracle hail mary throw to Noah Brown, it looked like they were about to do it again vs. the Cowboys

Down 7 with less than a minute to play, Daniels connected with Terry McLaurin for an 86-yard TD to tie the game. And by "tie the game," I mean Austin Seibert MISSED THE EXTRA POINT.

You can't make this shit up.

What should have been a game-tying gimmie to send us to overtime for more fantasy goodness (Daniels threw for 275-3 and rushed for 74-1) instead ended with the Cowboys returning an onside kick for a TD.

Womp womp.

The Giants are falling apart

On the flip side of Irving's monster day is a team in total disarray, the New York Giants.

The Giants got smacked by the Bucs 30-7 as new starting QB Tommy DeVito struggled to live up to his cult status.

But this didn't feel like a normal loss. The team seems to be legitimately coming apart at the seams. Malik Nabers is visibly pissed about his role. He was barely utilized in the first half (he finished with 6-64) and had no problem tossing his coach under the bus after the game.

Reporters corroborated this turmoil, claiming Brian Daboll has fully lost the locker room.

Luckily, the team has lots of time to regroup—just kidding, they play in four days on Thanksgiving vs. the Cowboys. Get your stuffing ready (Idk, what is the "popcorn" equivalent for Thanksgiving?)It's going to be a spectacle.

Jacobs sends the Niners packing

Whatever hopes the Niners had at making the playoffs were mostly dashed by Josh Jacobs (26-106-3) and the Packers yesterday.

Most forecasting models give them around a 15% chance to still squeak in, but things are bleak for the reigning NFC West champs at 5-6.

It was admittedly a tough spot yesterday–on the road with your backup QB–but it still feels bizarre watching this playoff mainstay inch closer and closer to sitting on their couches in January.

Jacobs was phenomenal in this one (even after a brief exit to the locker room to deal with cramps) and operated as the focal point of the offense. The beat-up Niners had no answer for him.

Do you think he misses the Raiders? Lol.
